Hello and welcome to the new and improved (well, new, at least) Geek Elite Podcast! This week we mainly chat about ‘Kong: Skull Island‘ and ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story‘. Other than that, we discuss a few honourable mentions from our Top 5 Sci-Fi & Fantasy movies, including; ‘Back To The Future‘, ‘Pan’s Labyrinth‘, ‘The Fly‘ and ‘Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan‘.

Blade Runner 2049!

The much anticipated sequel to Blade Runner finally has a title: Blade Runner 2049. Which makes sense, considering that the original was set in 2019 and the sequel is set several decades later!

Few details are known about the film, but it’s due out next October, so we still have a while to wait!

Forest Whitaker, Daniel Kaluuya and Florence Kasumba Join Black Panther!

As well as Winston Duke, Michael B Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o and Danai Gurira, Marvel‘s Black Panther now has three new additons to the cast list. It’s quickly becoming one of the strongest casts for a superhero movie!

Sigourney Weaver Joins Iron Fist!

Yes you read that right! The wonderful Sigourney Weaver is joining Marvel‘s Iron Fist as the baddie! It’s not been announced exactly who her character will be, but her addition to the cast can only be a good thing!

A new poster has been released for Rogue One! It’s a great montage of many of the main characters…

Predator – Del Toro Quits!

Shane Black‘s new Predator film, now oddly named Ollie, has lost one of its stars. Benicio Del Toro has officially left the project. Though no reason has been given, it’s likely just a scheduling conflict, what with Del Toro being rather busy with Marvel movies, Soldado and Star Wars.

He has been replaced by Boyd Holbrook, currently working on Logan with Hugh Jackman.

Dr Strange – New Posters Revealed!

New character posters have arrived for Dr Strange, and I think they’re pretty awesome!

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales – First Trailer!

Disney have released the first teaser trailer for the fifth film in the Pirates franchise. It appears that the film will have a different title for UK audiences: Salazar’s Revenge, Salazar being a spooky undead pirates played by Javier Bardem.
